Our Services

Haven House provides the following free and confidential services:

Individual Advocacy

  • Support, education and information on topics of domestic and sexual violence, Dating Violence, Stalking, and trafficking.
  • Resources and referrals to other service providers to financial, housing legalism counseling assistance
  • Bilingual translation services for Hispanic domestic and sexual violence victims

Support Groups

  • Weekly Peer support group for those who have experienced domestic and sexual violence
  • Call the haven House Wayne office at 402-375-5433 for meeting time Child care is provided

Criminal Justice Advocacy and Resources

  • Advocacy and accompaniment during both criminal and civil proceedings regarding domestic violence and sexual assault
    • This includes court hearings and interviews with law enforcement and district attorneys
  • Assistance in filling out and filing protection orders, victim impact statements, etc.
  • Information and referrals to legal experts and law enforcement agencies
  • Education on the criminal justice system

Shelter Services

  • Safe confidential shelter facility for those fleeing from Domestic and sexual violence
  • One-on-one advocacy with case manager to assess your situation, evaluate your options, and live a life free of violence

Protection Orders

  • Forms for Domestic Abuse, Harassment and Sexual Assault protection orders are available at the Haven House office
  • Trained advocates can provide assistance with forms and filing process
  • Provides support at the protection orders hearings if requested
