Interning with Us: Making a Meaningful Impact

An internship at our nonprofit offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the critical work of supporting survivors of violence and promoting safe, empowered communities. Interns play a valuable role in advocacy, outreach, education, and direct support services, gaining firsthand experience in trauma-informed care and nonprofit operations. Whether assisting with client services, community engagement, or research and policy work, interns are mentored by dedicated professionals committed to creating lasting change. This is more than just an internship—it’s a chance to be part of a mission that matters.

Experience you can gain:

Interns learn how to approach survivors and communities with empathy, sensitivity, and respect, gaining insight into the dynamics of domestic violence and the importance of safety, confidentiality, and empowerment in all interactions.

Through working with clients and participating in awareness campaigns, interns develop skills in public education, policy advocacy, and collaborative partnerships, all crucial for driving systemic change.

Interns gain hands-on experience in how nonprofits function—learning about case management, community outreach, and the coordination of support services.

Internships are available for summer, fall, or spring semesters and are perfect for Human Services Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, or Criminal Justice majors.
